The career of Modena painter Wainer Vaccari began in the 1970s with an exhibition at the La Sfera city gallery and reached a turning point following the meeting with the gallery owner Emilio Mazzoli, for whom he put together a solo exhibition in 1983. His exhibition activity then continued abroad before returning to Rome where, in 1999, he was invited to the 13th edition of the Quadriennale. However, it was in 2000 that his style changed when he profoundly rethought his expressive vocabulary. In 2008 he participated in the Beijing Biennale, while in 2011 he was among the artists exhibited at the Italian Pavilion of the Venice Biennale curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. Currently, Vaccari continues to participate in major group shows both in Italy and abroad.

10” golf tournament bag produced by Schedoni, made of hammered calfskin leather. Equipped with various pockets for balls and other accessories.
“The collaboration between Ferrari and Schedoni of Modena started by chance in 1976. Mauro Schedoni had created, and given as a gift, a set of bespoke luggage to his brother-in-law for his Ferrari 308 whose trunk would never have accommodated those already on the market due to its size. Two cases, a beauty-case and a shoe bag made up this first set and were noticed by the then Ferrari Sales Director, hence collaboration between the two companies began. Since then, every new road vehicle has its own set of cases that can be ordered exclusively through the Casa di Maranello dealership.”

The luminous insignia shows a black Prancing Horse on a yellow field whose story is fascinating and was told only once by Enzo Ferrari himself: “The horse was painted on the fuselage of the fighter flown by Francesco Baracca, a heroic aviator who crashed on Montello, the Ace of the Aces of the First World War. When I won the first Savio race in 1923, in Ravenna, I met Count Enrico Baracca, father of the hero; from that meeting came the next one, with his mother, Countess Paolina. It was she who said to me one day: “Ferrari, put my son’s prancing horse on your cars. It will bring you luck”. I still keep the photograph of Baracca, with the his parents’ dedication, in which they entrust me with the emblem. The prancing horse was and remains black; I added the canary yellow background which is the colour of Modena”.

Enrico Ghinato is a hyperrealist painter, a technique developed through the study of Renaissance and Flemish masters down to the American photorealists from whom, however, he differs with his less precise line and freer and softer brushstroke. The study of volumes, colours and perspectives through the ephemeral world of reflections stems from the attempt to stop time and allow the viewer to ‘enter’ the painting and see what is around them. Since 2016 he has worked with the prestigious IMAGO ART GALLERY in Lugano.

The F12TDF represents the most advanced concept of extreme car for road use. Produced in a special limited series of 799 units, it is a concentrate of technological innovations covering all the areas that mark out Ferrari’s DNA: engine, aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics. engine, aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics. In terms of acceleration, road holding and responsiveness this saloon is unmatched.
The TDF acronym pays tribute to the Tour de France, the legendary French endurance race in which Ferrari played a leading role in the 1950s and 1960s, in particular with the 1956 250 GT Berlinetta that won the race four years on the trot.
The auction is for one of the two cars used during the International Media Test Drive, the press presentation held in Maranello in November 2015. On that occasion journalists from all over the world had the chance to try the TDF both on the Fiorano track and on the roads in the hills between Modena and Bologna where, traditionally, Ferrari cars are ‘born’.
This same car was exhibited at the Museo Enzo Ferrari (MEF) in Modena as part of the Driving with the Stars exhibition (February 2017 – February 2018), a major show that allowed visitors to find out about the times in which the life of stars of sport, culture, industry and entertainment and the equally special history of Ferrari have crossed, regardless of whether the link then became indissoluble or whether it just lasted the space of a film.
Finally, this is an even more “special” version, made unique by a plaque signed by Piero Ferrari to celebrate the 120th anniversary of his father’s birth. For the lucky buyer, there will also be a tour of honour on the prestigious Fiorano track.
